Wed: Sodastream again lifts market

Sodastream rose strongly for the second straight session while energy stocks Isramco and Delek Drilling led the declines.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.26% to 1,428.98 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.28%, to 1,292.44 points; the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.68% to 371.90 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.05% to 334.87 points. Trading turnover was NIS 1.12 billion.

On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate today down 0.113% at NIS 3.529/$ from yesterday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate down 0.146% at 3.954/€.

On the market, Sodastream International Ltd. (Nasdaq: SODA) (TASE: SODA) rose 4.20% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 index. Oil Refineries Ltd. (TASE:ORL) rose 2.71% and Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) rose 1.92%. Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 1.39% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) rose 1% and Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) rose 1%.

Isramco Ltd. (Nasdaq: ISRL; TASE: ISRA.L) fell 3.99% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 index and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) fell 1.56%. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 1.47% and Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 1.37%. Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA; TASE: ORA) fell 1.02% and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.92%.
